India @ 70 – Independence Celebrations
Bhagvatam Katha on “The Mercy of One Holy Name”
Dear Friends,
As Janmashtami is round the corner ISKCON Birmingham is holding Bhagvatam Katha on “The Mercy of One Holy Name”. Recited by His Grace Yadavendra Prabhu (Kenya), he will explain the whole pastime of Ajamil (Canto 6 Bhagavatam). Ajamil is a Brahmana from Kanauj the story of who reminds us of Lord’s mercy and the impact of association on our consciousness (mind).
The Katha will be held this weekend.
Friday 28th July – 6:30pm to 9.30pm
Venue: Aston University Engineering Academy

Please note that the venue is not Aston University, but their secondary school, Aston University Academy.
Saturday 29th July – 5pm till 8pm
Sunday 30th July – 11am till 2pm
Venue: Birmingham Buddhist Centre, 11 Park Rd, Birmingham B13 8AB
- Free Parking on site
- Number 50 bus from Bham City Centre will drop you within a 5 minute walk from the venue
- Lifts from bus and train stations (Bham city or Solihull) can be arranged.
- Prasadam will be provided on all the days.
- The Katha is free to attend.
